The Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society assists and supports the goals and programs for the Pauls Valley Animal shelter including coordinating volunteers, sponsoring educational programs, and coordinating fund raising efforts for animal welfare. When translated into action, our vision brings people and potential pets together to build a lasting relationship, beneficial to both. We know animals enhance our lives so we encourage this to happen.
PAWS is privately funded through your generous donations and other contributions to the shelter, such as cleaning supplies, dog beds, blankets, and treats. As a no-kill shelter, PAWS uses your donations to sponsor spay/neuter clinics, medical treatments, transports, and the food pantry while also hosting school field trips. We create fundraisers to build awareness and support from those who may not be aware of the great need to help animals find forever homes. When we can reach people, we are reaching out to build future relationships. For every dollar given, PAWS volunteers ensure the funds go directly to helping animals.
Become a recurring monthly donor at any level of giving. This approach provides a reliable income stream so we don’t have to wait for transport funds or postpone needed medical treatments until the funds are raised. When you donate monthly, our efforts stay focused on saving lives and building relationships.
Become a volunteer. Volunteers help with the daily cleaning, laundry, walking dogs, handling cats, and completing administrative tasks including answering the phone, registrations and adoptions, inputting statistics and training, when required. Without our volunteers, the shelter could not maintain its no-kill designation.
You are important to our mission. If you are unable to volunteer or give, you can always spread the word. Tell people about our website. Mention us when someone is looking for a pet. Answer questions about the relationship between PAWS and the animal shelter. Tell your story. You are an important participant of what we do.
